As stated in the README file, microSysMics provides an automated microbiome data analysis, starting with sequenced taxonomic markers (such as 16SrRNA) and using the standard QIIME2 toolbox to produce an abundance table and preliminary diversity, phylogeny and taxonomy analysis.

microSysMics was designed to be run in few sequential steps that allows the user to have a better vision and control over its data by checking the results at each important step. This behaviour is clearly inspired from the Moving Pictures tutorial from QIIME2
